Authors Instructions

The Coastal Journal of Medical and Allied Health Sciences (CJMAHS) welcomes high-quality manuscripts that contribute to the advancement of medical and allied health sciences. To ensure a smooth submission and review process, please follow these guidelines carefully.

Types of Manuscripts Accepted

CJMAHS accepts the following types of submissions:

1. 1. Original Research Articles: Comprehensive studies presenting new and significant findings.
2. 2. Review Articles: Critical and systematic reviews of the literature on specific topics.
3. 3. Technical Reports: Detailed reports on novel techniques, methodologies, or case studies.
4. 4. Short Communications: Concise reports on innovative findings or preliminary results.

Manuscript Preparation

General Formatting

• 1. Manuscripts should be written in English.
• 2. Use 12-point Times New Roman font, double-spaced, with 1-inch margins on all sides.
• 3. Include page numbers in the bottom right corner.

Manuscript Structure

Manuscripts should be organized as follows:

1. 1. Title Page:

• a. Title of the manuscript (concise and informative).
• b. Full names of all authors, their affiliations.
• c. Corresponding author's name, email, and contact information.

2. 2. Abstract:

• a. A structured summary of the manuscript (200–300 words).

• b. Include background, objectives, methods, results, and conclusion.

• c. Provide 3–6 keywords.

3. 3. Introduction:

• Clearly state the research problem, objectives, and the significance of the study.

4. 4. Materials and Methods:

• Provide a detailed description of the methodology, allowing replication of the study.

5. 5. Results:

• Present findings clearly with tables, figures, and appropriate statistical analysis.

6. 6. Discussion:

• Interpret the results in relation to existing literature and highlight the study’s significance.

7. 7. Conclusion:

• Summarize key findings and potential implications.

8. 8. References:

• Follow [specify citation style, e.g., Vancouver, APA, or AMA]. Ensure all references are accurate and cited in the text.

Tables and Figures

1. 1. Number tables and figures consecutively (e.g., Table 1, Figure 1).
2. 2. Provide captions and legends for all figures and tables.
3. 3. Submit figures in high-resolution formats (JPEG, PNG, or TIFF).

Ethical Considerations

1. 1. Manuscripts must adhere to ethical guidelines for research involving humans or animals.

2. 2. Provide proof of ethical approval from an institutional review board (IRB) if applicable.

3. 3. Include informed consent statements where necessary.

Plagiarism Policy

CJMAHS has a zero-tolerance policy for plagiarism. All submissions are checked using plagiarism detection software. Manuscripts with significant overlap will be rejected.

Open Access Policy

By submitting to CJMAHS, authors agree to publish their work under the journal's Open Access model. Authors retain copyright but grant CJMAHS the right to distribute their work under a Creative Commons license.

Publication Charges

CJMAHS operates under an Open Access model, and publication costs are borne by the authors, their institutions, or funding bodies. The publication fee is as follows.

1. Indian Author: 1500rs

2. African Author: 20$

3. Nigerian Author: 25,000#

4. International Author: 30$
